Artist's Comment:

"This painting was created through layers, allowing areas to soften into one another while other marks remained stronger and more defined.  I wanted to create a sense of depth without giving everything away, with glimpses of light appearing and disappearing across the surface.

There is a quietness beneath the movement, a feeling of something held, waiting to be found."

Poem for Where The Heart Waits

Beneath the noise,

beneath the stories,

beneath the shadows I carry,

there is a place that does not hurry.

It has always been there,

quiet as breath,

soft as remembering.

I wander.

I question.

I lose my way.

And still, it waits.

Not to be found,

but to be felt.

Not to be reached,

but to be returned to.

Where the heart waits,

I am home.
